What guaranteed actually covers
That the departure will operate. It does not promise a particular group size, a particular guide, or that a named site will be open on the day. Any operator implying otherwise is selling you weather.

Certainty: Already guaranteed. The flight is quoted beside this figure and never folded inside it, because on a conditional departure an early ticket is the one thing a shortfall does not return. What the figure contains.
Why the cancellation terms are tighter here
Because the operator has taken the risk off you and onto itself. A committed departure has fixed costs from the day it is committed, and its schedule reflects that. This is the trade of the tier: the date is safe and your money leaves earlier.
