Why this is the sort that matters

Sort by destination and you learn nothing you did not know sitting down. Sort by certainty and you learn the one thing that decides whether your holiday exists:

• Whether it can be cancelled by somebody who is not you. In two of these four tiers it can.
• When you will find out. Every conditional departure has a decision date, and this site prints it at deposit rather than at the end.
• What a cancellation for numbers actually refunds. The operator's money, in full. Not your airfare.
• Whether to book the flight yet. On the bottom two tiers the answer is usually no, and this office says so before it costs you anything.

How to read a price here

• from is the least this desk has lately arranged that trip for, inside the season its own page names. An opening, not your quote.
• per person, two sharing, land only. Rooms carry a room's price, so one occupant sees a higher figure per head. The flight is quoted beside each trip, never folded inside it.
• Beside every figure is the certainty tier. From $2,460 on a conditional departure and from $2,340 on a committed sailing are not the same purchase, and that column is where the difference shows.
